My A-Z Colour-Me-Caribee Reading Book
“My A-Z Colour-Me-Caribee Reading Book” is a hybrid publication for colouring and reading by young children. The illustrations, which are hand-drawn, are simple yet heart-warming and also very childlike. The short, alliterative passages are fun, imaginative and silly, and go through the whole alphabet from A to Z. Each passage aims to give a sense of the various phonetic variables of the letter being presented, and the font size is nice and big – very kid-friendly. The book focuses, for the most part, on the culture and geography of Trinidad and Tobago, offering a fun way to connect with Caribbean culture. The back of the book also includes suggestions for group activities which can be designed around the book, for use in an educational context.
