Once Upon a Time...
I created this picture for my book and poem – Beautiful. It was drawn with a simple pack of Faber-Cassell markers. I produced an image of a woman of colour dancing in joyous abandon. She is proud of who she is. She knows where she has come from and she knows where she is going. Her journey carries her through dawn and also through sorrow. Together they shape her into a lady of deep inner beauty. As she sings through the poem: I am art / I am dance / I am poise / I am stance. She is free to be what she truly is … Beautiful!
