Pickney Poetry 3: Rain Fallin’ Sun Shinin’
This the third book in the Pickney Poetry series is a sweet offering of seasonal poetry – pieces related to dry and wet weather, and the four seasons. This project is beautifully designed and illustrations feature watercolours, oil pastels, wax crayons, markers, coloured pencils and paper collages. The poems are easy to understand and are perfect for young readers. The word “pickney” is Creole English for “child” or “children” but all of the poems are in Standard English.
