Once Upon a Time...
This beautiful watercolour illustration of Caroni Swamp (in Trinidad) features one of the national birds of Trinidad and Tobago – the scarlet ibis. I remember once attending a wedding there (yup! a wedding) in the swamp itself. The bride and groom and all of their guests joined in their joy in a number of different boats. I do believe that that may have been my first and only outing to the swamp. It was really quite interesting.
