Once Upon a Time...
This hand-done marker drawing of Caroni Swamp was inspired by the watercolour painting from my book Pickney Poetry 2: Hibiscus & Hummingbirds. I did the marker version with my little preschoolers at the end of 2021 and they really enjoyed it. I think that they especially enjoyed adding in the circles. Their parents helped them with other aspects (the class was online). This is a super-fun piece to do! I am so proud of the collection of artwork that I have designed for my preschoolers! And I am also really happy that they can carry warm memories of art-making together with their parents, well into their adult life!
