The Song of Legends is a heraldic epic which trumpets the leonine strength of God, through the exploits of David and his elite and legendary squad known as the mighty men. The poem is punctuated by the joyous celebration of the dancing maidens. The complete poem is available in my book It is Written! – The Old Testament and is even more dramatic when read in its complete form.
Eyes is a poem short and sweet which features in the book Porcelain Poetry. This collection of poetry carries a Japanese theme as all of the poems are either about the culture of Japan, or were written in The Land of the Rising Sun. Indeed this photo was taken in Kyoto – Japan’s ancient capital. So sip on a cup of green tea, sit back, relax, close your eyes and savour!

The Ugly Duckling is a classic children’s story which tugs at your heart strings no matter your age. Sometimes people hurl hurtful experiences our way, but ironically enough sometimes these very sorrows make us all the more lovely as compassion cultures our soul with kindness. In this poem you can hear the joyous surprise of the ugly duckling when the lake reflects the beautiful swan it has become and really always had been. The Swan features in my book Rhyme With Reason: Noah’s Ark.
