The Ugly Duckling is a classic children’s story which tugs at your heart strings no matter your age. Sometimes people hurl hurtful experiences our way, but ironically enough sometimes these very sorrows make us all the more lovely as compassion cultures our soul with kindness. In this poem you can hear the joyous surprise of the ugly duckling when the lake reflects the beautiful swan it has become and really always had been. The Swan features in my book Rhyme With Reason: Noah’s Ark.
